This Week I am thankful for my Mom. She is no longer with us but I am who I am because of her wisdom and teachings that she instilled in me. The other day I broke an egg and went right for the salt to help with the clean-up. The girls have been sick and all my little motherly ways of making them feel better are things Mom did for me when I was sick. I am a good baker and have a ton of common sense because of her, along with a crafty side, a fun social side and a very independent side. Too bad I didn't get the musical talents that she had - oh well.
I hope I can pass some of these things on to my girls and they can grow up with confidence, huge talents and a love for the Lord and the gospel as strong as my Mom.

(I'm a week off because I missed last week so I will do another post sometime this week)

Moms are such a blessing aren't they!
Your mom was so great, Cara! And you're right -- she passed a lot of her great qualities right onto you! Matt looks so much like her in that picture of you and her. :o)
What a beautiful tribute to your mom. She sounds wonderful, and you are too!
I have so many wonderful memories of your mom. She really blessed my life!

I was so surprised to check in with you tonight and see a picture of my sister! Yes, she was pretty amazing and leaves lots of memories all the way around. Love, Aunt Janet
What a sweet post. I love how you are thinking of how YOUR girls will carry on YOUR traits & teachings. I can't imagine losing my mom; it made me sniff to think of you losing yours so young. Another reason why I think you are strong & amazing.
What a great blessing! I love the cute picture of you with your mom.
What would we do without wonderful moms? I can see where you got your beautiful smile. Your mom looks like she was a happy person!!
Barbara was a great mom and grandma. We missed her at the baptism. I'm sure she was proud not only for McKenna's decision, but because she could see her beautiful daughter filling her shoes here on earth.
I miss her and wish I could have learned more from her. She is a great blessing.
Moms are one of the best blessings we have!
That was a beautiful tribute Cara. She sounds like a remarkable woman. I'm sorry for your loss. Losing a parent is never easy. I love that you're consciously passing on what you learned from her to your girls. They will be blessed, just as you were.
This is a touching post. It's so great that you can identify traits of your mom in you, and carry them on. Very nice.
What a beautiful picture and tribute to your mother. You have so many great memories of her and it sounds like she passed along some great traditions.
hooray for good moms who raise good children!!!
That was fun to see those pictures. I've talked with you about your mom several times, and it was so fun to see the picture of the two of you together. I know she's up there smiling down on what a wonderful person you are!! Love ya!!
Mom's are great blessings. I am lucky to still have mine, but isn't it nice to have all those things she taught you instilled inside. That is how you are able to keep her alive in your heart. Great blessing!
This is just so sweet!! I'm sure your girls are still blessed every day because of your mom!
What a sweet tribute to your Mom!! I'm sure she's thrilled to see such a wonderful woman/daughter/mom that she raised! MOMS are the BEST!! Sounds like she was awesome and really taught you a lot! I always hope that I can be as good of a Mom like my own Mom too.
Today is Tuesday - I went to the temple and sat by Margie. She leaned over and called me Barb. I loved it!
