12 On The 12th October

1. Our Halloween advent calendar
2. The pool cleaner from hell.  This thing has been giving me fits all summer.  If he keeps it up he will find himself sleeping with the fishes. (haha- I crack myself up)
3.  Miss Amberly insisted on making a Funfetti cake all..by..herself..

6.  Tom double fisted......on both computers at once.  He's so talented.
7.  Our Halloween house on the mantle.

9.  Cassidy woke up feeling sick.  She spent most of the morning on my bed watching T.V. She started feeling better late in the afternoon so I put her to work.  I'm a mean mom.
10. We had homemade Olive Garden Soup for dinner the night before.  I saw on Pinterest that if you freeze the leftover soup in muffin tins, pop them out and store in freezer bags you can have individual servings of soup whenever you want!  Put the frozen soup in a mug, microwave and Ta-Da!  Soup!  Brilliant!!
11.  Our limes are ready and so YUMMY!  However, I should have planned a little better and not put the tree so close to the pool.  Note-to-self.....limes plug up the pool sucker from hell and make my life miserable.
12. Went through some of my Mom's genealogy and found this book with my Grandpa's family tree dating back to 1680.  Pretty cool.  I'm not sure what to do with it....but cool none-the-less.

12 On The 12th September

1.  Abby, Whitney, Cassidy & Megan doing a late night facial out on the trampoline.
2.  The September Visiting Teaching message in handout form.
3.  Homemade pizza that wasn't very good.  Somehow I have lost my pizza making touch.
4.  I hosted Bunko this month and these are some of the prizes.
5.  This cheese is NOT GOOD!  Seriously, not good at all.
6.  These cupcakes ARE GOOD!  Seriously, so dang good! Chocolate cake with a reeses inside and homemade peanut butter frosting.
7.  We had to set up a separate table just for Cassidy's homework.  She has so much it's ridiculous!
8.  Craft night - bats, owls, 4th of July stuff.  Whats more fun than painting and eating cupcakes?
9.  We are trying to make AZ weather turn cooler by wearing our hats.  It didn't work...it's still one hundred and seventy degrees hot around here. (that's a little of an exaggeration but not by much)
10. Tom had to make a Poop Tube for Wood-badge.  What scouters will do to save the environment.  We had a good laugh about it.

12 on the 12th August

1. The girls getting back-to-school haircuts.
2.  Sara the little darling.
3.  Sidewalk chalk.  The perfect summer activity-if you live anywhere but here.
4.  Bowling as a family.  So much fun!
5.  Abby and Flower the Cat.  She sure puts up with a lot!
6.  Yummy watermelon.  The perfect summer treat when you DO live here!

11. Yes, it's that hot!  Hence the no sidewalk chalk and why we eat a lot of cold watermelon.

Just Dance

The girls and I got "Just Dance 2" for the Wii today.  Oh my funness!  Seriously, when people talk about having dance parties at their houses and the all kids converging at so-and-so's house to play this game - I now know why!  It's a great workout, the songs are fantastic and.....you can't help but laugh and enjoy yourself while dancing your heart out!  It's the perfect family fun!  Even Tom reluctantly agreed to try a dance with Abby then went for two more rounds!  Come on over and bring your remote.  We can have up to 8 players!

12 on the 12th January

I am so excited to start over this year.  I started late last year so I didn't get all 12 months.  We won't talk about October when all my pictures disappeared off my phone while I was on vacation and I lost all my 12 on the 12th pictures in Missouri.  Sad day.  A new year, a new start and I'm ready!

1.    Cassidy has made the honor roll twice this year!  We are so proud of her and she's proud of herself which is even better!  This is the first year she has made the honor roll at school.  Next quarter she's trying for the Principals list!
2.    Signing Cassidy's agenda.  No signature = no recess!
3.    After the kids left for school I crawled back into bed for a little while before I had to go to work.  I've been fighting a cold all week and it has finally hit me hard!
4.    My ugly make-up bin.  I like to have my make-up neat and orderly in a drawer...but with two girls who always seem to take stuff out of my bin I have to be able to put it up on my top shelf in my closet.
5.    Mindy brought me lunch at work - Pita Jungle (our fav) and we planned her upcoming party and my word for the year.  Nothing work related of course!  Good thing my boss likes me.
6.    The new Dutch door is almost done!  Another coat of paint and it will be ready for the reveal.  I'm so excited!!!
7.    Our house numbers.  I keep thinking I'm going to change them and then I think..."but why?"
8.    This is a bird feeder I got in Jamesport MO when we went.  It's been so cold and gray here I thought the birds might like it.
9.    Cassidy doing her homework after school.
10.  Abby at gymnastics around the corner.  It was crazy hair day but I thought this picture turned out better.
11.  The oranges on our trees are almost ready.  I'm hoping the freeze hasn't effected too many of them.  I love the orange against the dark green leaves.
12.  Tom's new hobby.  Put him in the YM and the mountain man in him has come out in full force!  I love that he's cleaning and fixing his gun in his suit (after work).  This is soooo Tom.

these are not in order (obviously) I need to find a better way to put my pictures in a grid so they are in order.

12 on the 12th - July

1.  I have now become in charge of the family genealogy.  Not sure how I feel about this.  So far I haven't felt too great but am trying to be positive and figure out a plan.
2.  Homemade bread.  I finally got it right and have made four loaves a week for two weeks.  I'm on a roll and loving it!
3.  Fresh off the vine tomatoes.  The first batch are a little puny but I have got my watering figured out and they are much bigger now.  I read that you should never-not-ever put tomatoes in the fridge.  So I'm using my ceramic egg holder for tomatoes.  Cute eh?
4.  My mid-afternoon snack.  Chocolate cake - there's nothing better.  (well there is....but not in my house at the time -wink)
5.  Saturday Tom and Cass went on a Jamba Juice run.  It's now becoming a weekly tradition since we have a stack of BOGO FREE coupons.  They were giving away free awesome cups on top of our deal so we have been using them endlessly.  Thanks Jamba!
6.  Backpacks and school supplies are in the stores already.  It had my girls ♥'s all a flutter!
7.  A dance in the corn field is always nice on a summer evening.  I love all the corn field around town this time of year.
8.  Monica's birthday.  We just had to bring her a little something on her special day.  It was fun to stay and chat and the girls loved being chased and attacked by Herbie the watch-cat!
9.  Watching Food TV - The Best Thing I Ever Ate.  Love that show and it makes me either really hungry or really grossed out.  Ox tail jelly with marrow bones?  - SICK!
10. My walking shoes that I didn't use today.  I slept in.  Sorry shoes!
11. Cassidy and her new Baton.  She's determined to master it which I find so dang cute.
12. My cart at the store.  I went for milk and lunch meat and look what happened.  Never fails!

**Even though I didn't start till 2:30 I think this pretty much sums up my day.  I even had some great pictures that I had to leave out.  Does that happen to you?  It's hard to choose only 12 isn't it? **

12 on the 12th - June

I

I love this picture Project!  The 12th of this month fell on a lazy Saturday as you can see by all the pool pictures.  It was an unbelievable day and it only got up to 81!  We spent most of the day outside, Tom and I even took a nap by the pool.  It was the most relaxing Saturday in years♥

1)  Tom and Cass went to get Jamba Juice first thing in the morning with our BOGO coupon.
2)  Flower curled up on our bed as usual.  How do cats sleep so much?
3)  Abby has been sleeping on the floor in our room the last few nights.  I just made a bed out of pillows and she's happy as a clam.  I'm happy because I can't sleep with her big 6-year old body in my bed.
4)  My computer where I sneak away to blog, e-mail and spend too much of my days.
5)  Abby playing in the pool while I watch.  Cassidy was at a birthday party next door and Abby had so much fun with the pool all to herself.  She is the queen of self-entertainment.
6)  The sky was the prettiest light blue and the clouds against the tree made for a happy sight.
7)  My new water cup complete with lid and straw!  Thanks Dr. Baker♥
8)  Some new pool toys.  We are having the hardest time keeping pool toys around here!  I have no idea where they are disappearing to?
9)  A lovely shot (not) of me lounging outside in the sun thanks to Miss Abby.
10) Cassidy after her pool party snuggled up on the couch with Dad - who is asleep.  This is her usual position.
11) Abby's un-birthday cake.  She was sad that she didn't get any cake from the party next door so we made a cake and had to sing, blow out candles and everything.  Boy did it make her day!  She's been calling it "my cake" all weekend!
12) I snuck away to the BRAND-NEW-HOBBY-LOBBY that is right by my house!  How fun.  I needed a big flower to finnish a project but couldn't find one.  Didn't matter though, I sure had fun looking around.

**I love how easy it is to make these collages in Picasa but I wish I could put them in order by when they happened.  I might have to use Amy's template after all next month.  We will see.  I love doing these each and every month!  I can't wait for the end of the year when I put them in a book!**

12 on the 12th - April

It was 2pm when I remembered that it was the 12th.  I'm still proud of myself for getting my pictures taken and it posted.  Next month I'll do a better job of capturing the whole day.

Can I just say what fun I had doing this?  My family was sick of my by the end of the day but I have a whole bunch of new photo’s to use in my blogs and collages.  if you didn’t get a chance yesterday to do it.  Mark you calendar for next month.  This is my new favorite project!  Oh, and FYI it’s hard to choose just 12 pictures.  I almost did 16 on the 12th but it didn’t have the same ring.

I'm starting a new project.
12 pictures on the 12th of each month.
I'm two months late but I'm going to do it anyway.

I have been taking pictures all day and it's been so much fun!

I'm sure it will take me a few months to get my creative juices flowing but I'm ready and willing.
I'm also excited because it has made me take my camera everywhere today and I have gotten out of the habit of doing that.
After I'm done - at the end of the year, I'm going to put my templates for each month into a book.
I'm hoping it will help us remember our normal everyday days better.
