Back To School Enrighment Flyer

I made this flyer for our upcoming Relief Society "Back to School" Enrichment night for church. I'm sure there are many out there that can whip up a darling digi-scrap flyer much better than I and that's not the reason for posting.  I love it when I find cute ideas out there on the web and I always feel like I don't contribute my share.  So....today I thought I would post this so that if anyone needs an idea like this they can borrow from me.  ( like I have borrowed from so many!)

Fun Friday

I'm in the process of sprucing up the ol' homestead. I'm having book club here in a week and you know how it is when you have a party!? Time to dust things off, do a little re-arrange-y and make old things new again.

I haven't taken pictures....yet. The battery's in BOTH cameras are dead so pictures are officially on hold. That's ok - it gives me more time to primp the place♥
(I know, I keep saying pictures coming soon...and they will I promise!)

July Freebie

Here is my July freebie desktop calendar. I look forward to making one of these each month and thanks to Shabby Princess it's so easy!

These are pictures I took in Colorado on the 4th of July. I am loving the buttons made into flowers. It's just too darn cute!

Today has been a very lazy day. Tom and Cass went to Cassidy's golf lessons then played a round. Abby had Garrett over to play in the morning and I am still in my P.J.'s and it's 4:54pm! I did do some laundry and made pizza for lunch so I'm not a total smuck!

While I was making the desktop I found the cutest new blog pack over at Shabby Miss Jenn Designs. Check back in a few days because I'm going to change my blog up a bit. I can't wait because what I got over there is to-die-for-cute!!!!

June Desktop

So sad that I only digi-scrap my monthly desktop picture. I really would love to do more. I'll have to work it into my schedule so I can at least do a page a week. I have my "page of the month" hanging up in my kitchen and it's..........hmmm 2 years old! My plan was to do a page a month and display it in the kitchen. Then I would have at least 12 pages for the year. Not a bad plan, or an overwhelming plan. Just a plan I have pushed to the side and have forgotten about.

This summer my organizing goal is to:

1. Clean out the wrapping paper & ribbon closet

2. Organize pictures and get them into albums.

3. Organize laundry room

4. Scrapbook one page a month

Febuary Freebie

Just For Fun Friday - Autumn Morning

I did this cute little number this morning while I was up at 4:30am(had a slumber party in the bed last night and Cass woke me up with her snoring). I have already had my first cup of herbal tea of the season - so yum, watched Private Practice online at ABC.com (love that!) and scrapped my 1st Autumn page and new desktop picture.

I think I'm going to send this off to be printed and have it in my "picture of the month" frame in the kitchen. If you are wanting to try a little digi-scrap project this is the one for you! Digi-Scrap - Movie Style

Saturday night I went to an amazing Digi-Scrap class over at onehm house. Before I went I thought, "how is she going to teach a group of people at her computer so we can all see what she's doing?" Well, I should have had no fear because this girl is the MASTER!! What did she do you ask? Well.......she had her computer remotely accessed into her MOVIE ROOM!!! Yep, how's that for brilliant!?!? So we all sat around in comfy movie chairs and huge bean bags while she spent two hours teaching us all about photo shop and how to make a darling scrapbook page digi-style on the movie screen!!! It was....WOW! I learned a lot and am excited to put my new knowledge to good use!

A little side note for all you scrapbookers out there. I was wondering how these digital scrapbook pages would look printed out. Would they look weird because they aren't layered? Well, I have to say I was shocked and amazed when I saw onehms albums. (and she has several) They looked AMAZING! They had depth, great color and they looked like they had layers. (mainly because of the trick she taught us called "drop shadow") Anyway I have never been a huge scrapbooker. Brooke has tried to get me into it and I have made a few pages and like it. This seems like a fun thing to try and it looks semi-easy. I guess I have a new project to start! I'll keep you posted!
