OK, OK I probably wont but it is funny - admit it!
Chea Lamb has some amazing pictures over on her blog -
And she teaches classes which is why I was on her blog in the 1st place.  So go, have some fun looking at her cute sight and........don't judge me on my humor!

Christmas Cards

Steele Family 1109

blog banner cropped&brushed

I have been at the computer all most ALL day! It’s now 12:40am and I am throwing in the towel. Seriously – you have got to know when to stop!

I couldn’t decide on the family picture or the pictures of just the girls. The family shot was taken on Thanksgiving, very informal, quick and painless for all (including all my brothers and family and me who was taking said photo's). The girls pictures I took today thinking I could mix the two. As you can see the colors don’t match and well……….this is why I have been at the computer all day and night.

Tom liked the family one so I am sending that out in the cards. The girls were too cute to push aside so I made them my new blog banner. We had fun today getting all gussied up and ready for the shoot. Amberly is such a good poser and Cassidy loves to come up with different photo ideas. She's the brains behind the lolly-pop and hot chocolate poses, clever girl! I took her on a shoot with me the other day and she was hilarious! Quite the budding photographer!

I’m giving up and going to bed. Let me know which one you like better. Obviously the blog banner has been “beautified” and the family one has been made into a card but you will have to wait till Christmas to see.

Night♥

"Free" Family Fotoshoot

I'm sure I have already gone on and on about my friend Ashley and her blog and her cute family and her amazing photography. But did I mention that I won my photo shoot from the contest on her blog? Oh yeah, I guess I did. Sorry about that. I'm just still so excited about it! Here are some of the pictures she sent me. You can see some of these on hers but I wanted to post them on mine too. She's starting her mini-sessions so if you need pictures - contact her!

Now, about family pictures. I know how my family feels about pictures which is probably the same for every other family in America. My girls complained because we had just done Halloween pictures until I asked them if they wanted me to send Christmas cards with a witch and a princess inside. Then they were cooperative. I thought Tom was going to be a hard sell but he was very patient even though he was dressed for Fall and it was 87 degrees outside. Sorry honey!

My favorite comment from this shoot was when we were getting ready and the girls were informing me that "they did not like these clothes!"

This is when I informed them that, "this is the only time that none of you have an opinion! I'm the Mom and I get to pick the clothes for family pictures and that's that!"

Is that how all us Mom's are? I would like to know. I'm not the only crazy picture taking mama out there am I? I would be interested to find out from all of you out in bloggerville.

Anyway, family pictures are done.
One thing crossed off my holiday list.
2937 more to go!
Wish me luck!

Christmas Card

I thought I would post my Christmas card I made this year.
( I want to archive it)

I had no idea a year ago (or a month ago for that matter) how to make any form of cards. I went online and found the cutest templates off SMJ Designs and bought some. Then I opened my big mouth and started offering to take family photo's (what was I thinking?) and making their cards (the holiday bustle had my brain not functioning very well). I was very unsure but I think everyone was happy and I had fun learning lots of new things!!!

I made six Christmas cards in all and I thought I had saved them but I guess I only saved them on a CD and sent them on their way (I told you my mind was not functioning at it's peak!) Oh look I found two cards hidden in the depths of the computer (which is dying a slow and painful death BTW)

Here's the guy's Christmas card that was sent out to over 1000 people. No pressure on me at all to make my 1st Christmas card from scratch and not having a CLUE on how to do it!

Here's Dave and Patty (Tom's brother and SIL.) This is the cutest picture of them which made the card so perfect! They loved it !

hmmm...my sweetie dearest just came in and I told him how I couldn't find those cards I made. He said he deleted them because he thought I was done and like I said our computer is dying and he was trying to free up space. So, sorry I can't post the rest of the cards. They all turned out soooo cute because the families were oh so cute!
