Love Week ♥Day6♥

Today my baby girl who's not a baby anymore walked 11 miles.

I'm so proud of her.  She did an amazing job and she was in the front leading everyone the whole way!
When asked why she stayed in the front her answer was:
"That way I can get to the rest stops faster and have a longer break!"
That's my girl...always thinking.
She is now on a mission to get this family walking for fun and we are SO game.
We wouldn't be complete without her and are so lucky to have her in this family♥

      (close to home, u pick the toppings, pay by the oz, great for gifts)
9.    my very, very clean house
      (swept, vacuumed, dusted, bathrooms, carpets cleaned, laundry done!)

7)    having us be back to our healthy selves after a horrid 10 days of sickness.

Love Week Postponed

I have to postpone the LOVE.  We have been SO sick over here that there has been no love felt in a while.  We all got the flu in a bad way and I am just now starting to feel like I can leave my bed without dying (after w WHOLE week!).  So since next Monday is Valentines Day we will just share the love the whole gosh darn week.  Check back because I'm sure I will be feeling better by then and the love will be a flowing♥

Sick & Love Week

It's Monday and I've been in bed sick since Friday night.  I can't remember the last time I was this sick besides having a surgery of some sort.  I haven't wanted to move.  It's dreadful.  Hopefully today will be the day I kick this flu/cold to the curb!

I mean seriously.....it's the week of Valentine's Day.  Ok it's a week away but it's Love Week and I'm not feeling any love at the moment except for cold medicine and my nice warm cozy bed. I.have.got.to.get.better!

Last year my friend Anny did Love Week on her blog - listing things she loves each day.  I did it too and it was fun, uplifting and made me very grateful for all that I have in the name of love.

Tom is my blessing – ALWAYS.  Not just for Valentines day, not just for this weeks blessing but forever.  I’m thankful I have him.  He’s my best friend, biggest hero, teammate and partner in everything we do.  We have so much fun together I’m so glad he’s mine.  Love you sweetie♥

Baby Love – Day 6

This is my baby.  The sad thing is she’s not a baby anymore but lets be honest – she will always be my baby.  She’s sweet and snuggly and misses me terribly when we are apart.  She’s smart and always going – I have never seen a girl who skips everywhere!  She’s an old soul and is always surprising us with her wisdom.  I love her – always and forever♥ 

My Girl – Day 5

 

This little beauty is a shining star.  She is so kind and thoughtful and sweet.  We are so lucky to have her in our family!  This was taken right before school, fresh out of the shower and almost out the door – the whole day ahead of her.  I love her beautiful brown eyes and her sprinkling of freckles across her nose.  The sun (and I) have given her lots of kisses over the years and those freckles are the result of the love♥
She is such a sweet valentine!

Love Week ♥ Day 3

Today I had a hard time thinking of something that I haven't already posted about in a while.  I realized that I post a lot about the things that I love.  I seem to love everything.  I also had a hard time coming up with something that wasn't negative.  I've been down the last few days and it's been hard to think of a perky, happy post but I did it!

I love girly things.

Bows on babies that are bigger than their heads,

Ruffles, ribbon, tulle and anything fluffy.

I love pink - every single color of pink!

I love bracelets, bling, and baubles. 

I love pretty shoes and hair clips and lip gloss.

Flowers are a must inside the house and outside the house!

Window shopping, boutiques, cafes.

Bubble baths, lotions and potions.
Pretty bedrooms and sparkly bathrooms.
Lets not forget girly tunes, twirling and dancing!
Yes, I'm a girly girl for sure!

I'm so thankful that I have been blessed with two girls!  I don't know what I would do with a little boy! I'm sure I would manage so again - if you have a two year old I will happily take him or her but I'm not giving them back!

Love Week

In the spirit of Valentine's day, if you want to join me in posting all the things you love, it is a fun project.  My friend Anny (who's blog is private) is doing this fun thing and I just had to join.  Who doesn't love to love and post about it?  Please...it's a no brainer♥


DAY1 - COOKING
I love to cook.  I also love to eat out but lately I have been loving my cooking more than eating out.  Strange I know but it's true.  It gives me a sense of pride to cook for my family and know that I have this skill.  I have even started making bread.  I made bread years ago but stopped when I broke my beloved kitchen-aid.  Those things are not made for bread, cookies-yes, bread-no.  I had to make a tough decision and cookies won.  I now have a new Blend-Tec mixer that helps me make bread and cookies.  It's a win-win!  Bread takes practice but I'm willing to put in the effort.

Tonight I made sweet and sour chicken and rice.  It was a major hit so I'm sharing the recipe so you can be MOM-OF-THE-NIGHT like me (wink).
Sweet and Sour Sauce
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. white vinegar
2/3 c. water
2 Tbsp. corn starch
4 Tbsp. ketchup
Mix all ing. together and cook till thick.

Sweet And Sour Chicken

It tasted much better than it looks!

Then I cooked some chicken in a skillet with salt, pepper and some soy sauce.  I I cut up the chicken into chunks, added chopped green bell peppers, chopped celery, sliced carrots, 1 can of pineapple chunks and some diced green onions.  Pour sauce over skillet and mix together.  Serve over rice.  De-lish!

Do you like my Japanese rice cooker?  

It's the best thing - I love it!!  

And I only use Calrose Rice - (Japanese rice)

I couldn't eat any other kind 

 Let's re-cap:

I love cooking and baking.  I love my new mixer.  I don't love making bread - yet, but I'm going to practice till I do.  I loved tonight's dinner and I love that everyone loved it too.  I love my rice cooker even though I can't read what it says since it's in Japanese and I love Calrose rice.  Oh and I love my friend Anny and think she's so fun for doing this love week thing!
